Since joining social media for work in the fall (and also since creating this website a few weeks ago), I have been AMAZED at the support from other women in the optical industry. Everyone is SUPER supportive and wants to see you succeed. There is room for everyone at the table (including men) and this is the first time I’ve felt that I’m not the only one who feels this way. I’ve worked in other industries and have rarely felt this kind of support and encouragement. Granted, not everyone does feel there is room at the table- and that’s ok, their loss.
Seriously, I am incredibly grateful for everyone's encouragement and support. Together, we are doing great things for our industry and for women in general. Let's continue this positivity and crush the rest of 2018!
